As a Local Authority we thought it is necessary to put up this website not only to interact with you our clients but also to introduce some of the services being offered by Serenje Town Council.

We have developed a vision and mission statement through our strategic plan which gives us a direction to effectively utilize resources in the district so as to provide improved and adequate services that are specific to societal needs and in line with government policies.

Our vision and mission will also help us in providing an enabling environment for all stakeholders so as to promote inclusive planning, investment opportunities and effective management of resources.

We therefore commit ourselves to this cause and we hope to update this site regularly with news, information, plans and reports for your attention, reaction and action.

Against this background I wish to implore members of the public to make it a habit of regularly visiting this website for updates and to see if there is anything that interests you.

The task of service delivery is very demanding we will therefore rely on your support through corporate social responsibility and/or indeed through public private partnership.

In conclusion, I want to sincerely thank the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development as well as Smart Zambia for its support and for being part of the initiatives of making Serenje Town Council to be part of the first 30 out 116 local authorities to a have functional website.
