The literacy training programme for 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) beneficiaries in Serenje District has successfully entered Day Three, with participants from Muchinga Constituency continuing to acquire critical skills in financial management and entrepreneurship.
The training at Kanona Secondary School is being facilitated by a multidisciplinary team of officers from Finance, Planning, Community Development, Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, and the Ministry of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
Beneficiaries from Kanona, Mweshe, Serenje, and Lushibashi wards are part of the programme, which aims to prepare them for effective utilisation of funds under the 2026 CDF cycle.
A total of approximately K5 million has been allocated to beneficiaries across Muchinga and Serenje Central constituencies to support various small-scale business ventures.
The initiative is expected to boost household incomes and drive local economic development.
The training continues to play a key role in ensuring that beneficiaries are well-equipped to manage their funds responsibly and implement sustainable projects.
