Serenje Town Council has continued with its comprehensive literacy training programme for 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) grant beneficiaries, focusing on a cluster drawn from Chisomo, Lukusashi and Sancha wards in Muchinga Constituency.
The training, held yesterday at Moyenda Primary School, forms part of the Council’s ongoing initiative to equip beneficiaries with essential financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills ahead of the disbursement and implementation of funds for income-generating projects.
The structured rollout ensures that each group receives adequate attention and practical guidance.
Like the earlier sessions, the programme is being facilitated by a multidisciplinary team of officers from the Departments of Finance, Planning, Community Development, Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, as well as the Ministry of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
The training continues to prepare beneficiaries to effectively manage their allocations and undertake viable ventures that will contribute to household income growth and local economic development.
