Serenje, Zambia β The Serenje Town Council wishes to inform members of the public that the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has approved the Serenje Central Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Committeeβs recommendations for the award of empowerment loans under the 2026 CDF programme.
The approved beneficiaries comprise a cross-section of cooperatives, youth groups, women-led enterprises, and small to medium-scale businesses operating in sectors such as agriculture, general trading, transport, carpentry, and agri-processing.
The initiative is aimed at supporting local enterprise development, job creation, and improved livelihoods across Serenje Central Constituency.
A total allocation of K1, 626,500 has been approved for disbursement to the successful applicants. The Council encourages all beneficiaries to utilise the funds responsibly and in line with the intended project proposals to ensure sustainable economic growth and community development.
All successful applicants are required to report to the Planning Department at Serenje Town Council to verify and confirm their banking details. The verification exercise will run from Wednesday, 8th April, and beneficiaries are urged to comply within the stipulated timeframe to facilitate timely disbursement of funds.
The Council remains committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and equitable distribution of resources under the Constituency Development Fund.
