A combined team of officers from the Local Authority, the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises has successfully carried out a comprehensive monitoring exercise in Masaninga, Kabwe Kupela, Sancha, and Chisomo wards of Muchinga Constituency.
The exercise aimed to assess whether Constituency Development Fund (CDF) grant beneficiaries are adhering to approved business plans, CDF guidelines, and financial regulations governing the prudent use of public resources.
Among the beneficiaries monitored were:
1. Luyando Womenโs Club (Nchimishi Zone) โ received K30, 000 to strengthen their empowerment activities.
2. Mushimpuka Womenโs Club (Nchimishi Zone) โ allocated K40, 000 to expand their initiatives.
3. Kalemba Cooperative (Nchimishi Zone) โ awarded K40, 000 to boost business growth and sustainability.
During the exercise, the monitoring team engaged directly with beneficiaries to track progress, review operations, and provide technical guidance to strengthen project implementation.
This initiative underscores Governmentโs and the Local Authorityโs commitment to ensuring that CDF resources are managed transparently, applied effectively, and deliver lasting impact in uplifting communities, especially women and cooperatives.
